It’s been a month since it was reported that Instagram is working on providing post-scheduling options for its users. Now, the Instagram Post Scheduling feature is launched within its app. However, it is said that the feature is part of live testing and will evolve in the coming days.
Why Instagram post scheduling option was launched?
Scheduling posts on Instagram was already possible using Meta business suit. However, for those only using Instagram and not familiar with the Meta business interface, Instagram launched the option to schedule posts within the Instagram Phone app.
What’s in Instagram Post Scheduling?
The above-embedded tweet from @WFBrother shows how to post scheduling option will be placed under the advance option. Once turned on, it will allow you to schedule posts for a future date and time. Note that this will enable users to schedule posts as well as Reels. We still don’t have any updates on Stories.
Best time to post on Instagram for likes, comments and shares
So, once you start planning your future posts, you should know what are the best times suggested by Hootsuite. They have analyzed over 30,000 Instagram posts from businesses of all sizes and also combined their own experience in handling Instagram profiles with more than 170k followers.
As per them, the Universal best time to post on Instagram is on Wednesday at 11 AM.
This may be hard to understand. Why in mid of the week and during work hours? Their primary users might be in colleges. But on other hand, this is a perfect spot where people to take a break and do some scrolling.
They also suggest not to post on Weekend. They may result in low engagement. People may love to spend more time shopping, cleaning the home, spending some quality time with kids and family, or watching a movie.
However, if you plan to post each weekday, here’s the list:
- Monday – 12:00 PM
- Tuesday – 9:00 AM
- Wednesday – 11:00 AM
- Thursday – 11:00 AM
- Friday – 2:00 PM
- Saturday – 9:00 AM
- Sunday – 7:00 PM
What about reels? What is the best time to post reels? – the best time to post Reels is 9 AM and 12 PM, Monday to Thursday.
